"We didn’t solicit for funds" Ilebaye’s management clarifies

Popular Big Brother Naija All Stars winner, Ilebaye’s management have clarified the issue of soliciting for funds which were been spread around. A post was sharedon her X (twitter) account recently to.clarify the issue of the soliciting for funds.

Recall Ilebaye Odiniya won the Big Brother Naija AllStars show on Sunday, the first of October, 2023. Ilebaye who is known popularly as Gen Z baddie has joined the league of female winners in BBNAIJA history. Few hours after her win, a post was share on her Twitter asking fans to be careful of sending money to just any account and they went ahead to share the exact account they have. Many fans interpreted this to mean they were stylishly asking for funds after just winning the grand prize of N120m.

They have mow clarified that her social media post solicit funds but to prevent fans from sending money to scammers.

The statement read “We’ve received information about fans planning to send gifts or contributions. Please refrain from sending money to any account that isn’t officially posted on Ilebaye’s verified accounts. For gifts, please send an email. The only accessible account is the Baye Tribe account (9608176782 – Providus). We won’t be responsible for any misappropriation of funds. Thank you.”

Many fans began to call the reality star out for sharing such as soon as she won a large mount of money. The management had to react to this to explain what they meant.

They stated “This tweet was solely to avoid people who want to give gifts falling into the hands of scammers. We didn’t solicit for funds, we only highlighted the account we have access to. Too many fake account numbers are circulating and we will not be held accountable for any misappropriation.”
