Breaking, during the cause of the protest handled by the youths against the Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) in an effort to appeal the Federal government to scrap the unit after many accusions of violence against humanity, their efforts eventually paid as the Inspector General of Police issued a statement, disbanding the security unit and introducing SWAT.

Though protest didn't end there, Governors of the Northern state showed displeasure as they condemned the idea, with most of them pleading with the Federal government to reinstate SARS.

However in news today the governor of Zamfara State disclosed that the squad served a vital role in cubing the level of crime and insecurities in the state as he noted that banditry and hooliganism drastically reduced because of them. He condemned the scrapping of SARS after which he then revealed plans to seek audience with the President on the matter.
