Popular Nigerian musician Davido has congratulated his fellow Afrobeat star, Rema on his win at the Video Music Awards (VMAs) which was held just recently. The prestigious awards held on the 12th of September 2023 in New Jersey, United States of America.

Davido whose full name is David Adeleke was at the VMAs 2 days ago and he was also one of the nominees in the Afrobrats category for the award. He shared his congratulated message to Rema via his Instagram story yesterday, Wednesday.

Rema whose full name is Divine Ikubor beat Davido, Wizkid, Fireboy DML, Ayra Starr and some others to win the awards of Best Afrobeats. Rema won with his song Calm down in collaboration with American singer Selena Gomez. Davido was nominated alongside Rema for his song Unavailable from his latest album Timeless.
