West Ham United are also aiming to win a fourth consecutive league match for the first time in almost two years, while Manchester City are looking to keep their 100% start to the season.

Pep Guardiola and David Moyes have both been recognized for their impressive start to the season, as they were nominated for the Manager of the Month award for August.

Guardiola's side kicked off the season with a 3-0 victory over Burnley, before recording a 1-0 slim win over Newcastle United.

They were 3 minutes and additional time away from sharing the spoils with Sheffield United, before Rodri rose up clutch for the Citizens.

Manchester City afterward smashed Fulham 5-1 before the international break, courtesy of a hat-trick from Haaland, and goals from Julian Alvarez and Nathan Ake.

For West Ham United, they drew 1-1 with Bournemouth in their first game of the 2023/24 Premier League season, before defeating Chelsea by 3-1 at their home turf.

They followed that up with subsequent away victories against Robert De Zerbi's Brighton and Luton Town.

Manchester City sit at the summit of the Premier League table after four games, while West Ham United sit 4th, a position that they would ten times pray for, if the season ends today.

Head-to-head record doesn't favor the Hammers going into the game, as they have picked up only 2 wins in their last 30 previous meetings with Manchester City.

For Pep Guardiola's side, they have picked up an outstanding 23 wins in those 30 matches, while 5 of those games have ended with both sides sharing the spoils.
