Suicide is a very tragic and traumatic event to ever happen to an individual or family. When a person commits suicide, a lot of questions are asked.

SUICIDE-1.jpg

1. What was the person's state of mind before he died?

2. How often did they have suicidal thoughts before they finally ended their life?

3. What were their experiences leading to the tragic event?

4. Was it lack of love that made them end their life?

All these questions and more remain unanswered because the person can no longer get up and defend himself. In our society, suicide is a very terrible thing to imagine and it requires a great amount of strength before a suicidal person can be free from those intrusive thoughts.

In this case, what does the Bible say about suicide?

It is clearly stated in the Bible in Exodus 20:13 that "thou shall not kill". Now what is sucide? Suicide is an awful act of taking one's life by oneself. Automatically, one has committed murder if one commits suicide. It is undebatable.

Though the Bible doesn't provide a punishment for anyone who commits suicide, it is morally wrong. Though it is important to note that a suicidal person is going through a lot but there is no justification for taking a life you cannot create.

Suicide is the wrong way to deal with ones problems. If you're having suicidal thoughts or have attempted suicide at one point or the other, it is important to see a mental health professional for help.
