In a recent podcast with UpliftX, Nigerian music video director TG Omori advised on how to stay ahead of one's game. He said that whenever someone criticizes your work, don't be quick to think such person is hating on you. You could be genuinely doing nonsense so the advice came to help you straighten your game.

He advised that people should be open-minded while putting in their best work. He also said that as humans, we should always seek growth and be self-aware. Don't be confident doing nonsense. Take corrections and be ready to learn.

In TG Omori's words, "Some people lie to themselves, you are doing shit and you dey very confidence, dey follow am. When people are criticizing, listen. It's not everyone that is hating on you. Just listen. Don't be stupid. Improve yourself. In everything you do just try to grow. If you don't, you are fucked up."

TG Omori also added that in today's world, you have to outgrow everybody if you wish to stay relevant. Unless you are okay with being mediocre, there are millions of people aiming to be the greatest in their field. Therefore, be smart and stay away from your comfort zone.
