Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has revealed the reason why veteran actor Emeka Ike starred in her newly released movie Malaika.
After a 13-year hiatus, Nollywood actor Emeka Ike finally returns to the movie industry with a role in Toyin Abraham's movie Malaika. Emeka Ike's career was put to a halt following the controversies surrounding his failed marriage with ex-wife Suzanne Emma.
During a recent interview, Toyin Abraham revealed that she has been speaking with Emeka Ike since 2022 about coming back to acting. At first, she said he was skeptical about it because of past occurrences but she assured him that everyone deserves a second chance.
She stated, "I said 'uncle don't worry, even if you did it, you've suffered enough. 13 years, it's okay. I'm not saying you did. I wasn't there. I don't put my mouth in what they didn't call me. Even if you did, 13 years is okay."
Toyin Abraham said she assured him that even if all the allegations are true, it has been over a decade and he deserves a second chance. After much deliberation, he agreed to feature in the movie.
