Nollywood actress and film producer, Ruth Kadiri reveals what inspired her to start uploading her movies on YouTube streaming platform.
In an interview with BBC Pidgin, Ruth Kadiri said she started producing her movies on YouTube because she needed a platform to communicate her experiences to the world. Ruth Kadiri said while she was pregnant, she noticed that some filmmakers uploaded their movies on YouTube so she decided to try it out after her maternity leave.
She spoke about how she was discouraged when she started but she continued regardless. Ruth Kadiri said YouTube is another way for filmmakers to make money. She emphasized that without YouTube, most people in the industry would go hungry.
