
Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor popularly known as Rema has said that winning awards isn't a big deal.
In a recent video, Rema stated that awards don't have a significant impact on the Nigerian music industry or the growth of Afrobeats. Rema said the most important thing is that Afrobeats is getting the spotlight it needs.
Rema said it is impressive that African culture has gained widespread recognition and is televised globally. "Awards aren't a big deal. This is the big deal. That African Music or Afrobeats got a huge platform. Our sets, our dancers, the culture is being televised", Rema stated.
