Wizkid emerges as first African artist to receive a BRIT Billion award

Popular Nigerian musician Wizkid has become the first African to receive a BRIT Billion award.
Wizkid is a very popular Grammy award-winning Nigerian musician. He is an Afrobeats artist.

His real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun but he is known as Wizkid. He is 33 years old and a father to 4 children.

He has now achieved another record of being the first African musician to receive the BRIT Billion award. He was given this award for having over 1 billion streams in the United Kingdom, UK.

He was given this award after his soldout show in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London and this was on Saturday.

This isn't the first time wizkid would have such soldout shows and units in the UK or other countries.
The song by drake ‘One Dance’ which featured Wizkid is certified six times Platinum and this is for selling over 3.6 units.

Wizkid’s album which is titled ‘Made In Lagos’ and is his fourth studio is also certified Gold in UK alongside many Korean of his songs like Essence.
