Woman’s Corpse goes missing from Morgue in Ondo state
The corpse of a woman has been declared missing from a morgue in Odno state. It was the body of a 63 year old woman that suddenly disappeared from the morgue.
This woman has been identified Olajumoke Julianah Ogunsuyi who was 63 years old qhen she passed away.
The corpse which was supposed to be buried yesterday, Saturday mysteriously dissappeared.
Thus incident happened in Osi town, in the Akure North Local Government Area in Ondo State.
The woman's body had been deposited at the mortuary in the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED) Teaching hospital in Ondo state. It was the family members of the late woman who deposited the body there but its now no where to be found.
The family of the deceased had returned to the hospital’s morgue o take away the body for burial but the corpse was no where to be seen.
The family waited for several hours for the attendants to bring out the corpse but later found out the body was missing.
The police in Ondo state have invited the mortuary attendants and the hospital officials for interrogation. An investigation into this case has also commenced.
Further Investigation then revealed that the corpse of Mrs Ogunsuyi had been exchanged for another family and had been buried in Oba Ile town which is also in Akure.
They have been unable to reach the Police Public Relations Officer in Ondo State, who is Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya.
