Woman and baby trapped inside collapsed building in Lagos
A tragic incident occurred recently in Lagos state. A building collapsed in Lagos trapping 2 women and a baby inside the rubbles. The director of the Lagos state fire and rescue service, Margaret Adeseye was the one who confirmed the news of this incident. She revealed that 2 women and a baby were trapped inside the collapsed building. She later added that they have been able to rescue one of the women through rescue efforts that have been carried out. However, one woman and her baby are still inside the rubble.
The woman who has been recued was rescued alive. The story building that collapsed is located in the Ebute-Metta area in Lagos state. The incident happened in the early hours of Friday, December 22, 2023. This was around 9am on Friday morning. Margaret Adeseye, the director, revealed that the Lagos state fire and rescue service responded to this emergency and are currently still attending to the case. She disclosed that it was a one-story building with a penthouse that collapsed.
She revealed that the rescue efforts are still ongoing at the moment since only one woman has been rescued leaving the other woman and the baby. She revealed that the woman who has been rescued has been attended to and she is in stable condition at the moment.
