Woman arrested for allegedly killing landlord in Ogun

A woman has been arrested in Ogun State for allegedly killing her landlord.

Ifeoma Ossai is a 33 year old single mother and she was arrested for committing this crime by killing her 50 year old landlord just recently.

It was said that the cause of these actions was over electricity bill.

A report was made at the police division in Sango Ota by Mr Olaleye Taiwo who is the deceased’s brother. The arrest was made after this report was given.

Mr Taiwo reported that his brother, Oladele had a disagreement with Ms Ifeoma Ossai who is his tenant over electricity bill payment.

SP Abimbola Oyeyemi who is the spokesperson of the Ogun State command made mention of the fact that this woman grabbed the deceased by his male genitals and dragged him with it causing him to fall and become unconscious.

He was then rushed to the hospital in Ota where they pronounced him to be dead.

It was from here that the policeman of the Sango Ota police division was mobilized and dispatched to make the arrest.

The woman was interrogated and it was said that she claimed she was asked to pay electricity bills but she said she won't pay any bills until water is connected to her apartment directly. She said she had promised her landlord that before she moved in.

This was what caused the disagreement between both parties that led to the death of Mr oladele.

Mr Oyeyemi mentioned that the corpse had been deposited at the mortuary for post-mortem.

Mr Frank Mba who is the Ogun State Commissioner of Police and given directives that the woman who was arrested be transferred for further investigation and prosecution.
