A 38-year-old Nigerian woman has been arrested in Anambra State for selling her two sons to take care of her other children for a sum of N1.8 million naira.
Mrs Chinyere Chukwuegbunam, a mother of 10, from Nza in Ozubulu, has been arrested by the police for wanting to sell her two children to cater to their other siblings. The Commissioner of Women Affairs, Ify Obinabo reported her to the Police who took immediate action.
Mrs. Chinyere blamed it on the economic hardship in the country and said she had no other choice but to sell her children for money.
