Women’s World Cup Results: The Super Falcons got their first win in the 2023 Women’s FIFA World Cup after defeating Australia 3-2.

Australia have squandered their chances of qualifying for the next round of the Women’s FIFA World Cup after they lost to the impressive Super Falcons.

The co-hosts of the World Cup will now face difficulties in qualifying for the next round of the tournament due to the outcome of the game against Nigeria. Thier next game is against in-form Canada.

Both Nigeria and Canada have four points in Group B, with Nigeria going on top of the table due to superior goals difference. Van Egmond scored in the 45th minute to give Australia the first goal of the match.

Foord was quick to pass the ball to Van Egmond, with Nigerian defenders failing to quickly respond to it.
