A young lady known as Dr Vwaere Diaso died shortly after the elevator she was in, crashed from the 10th floor of a general hospital in Odan, Lagos Island yesterday.

Her friends and colleagues broke the news on social media yesterday after she was confirmed dead by the hospital.

Reportedly, she was on her way to get her lunch from a dispatch rider downstairs when the elevator fell from the 10th floor all the way to the ground.

It took an hour before they could evacuate her body from the elevator. By the time she was brought out of the elevator, she was covered in broken glass and blood. She was still alive with fractures and rushed to the emergency unit.

Unfortunately, she eventually passed away after she couldn't get the blood she needed due to delay from the hospital.

Apparently, the elevator had been faulty for years now but the hospital management refused to fix it. Instead, they continued using it while ignoring complaints from other doctors.

Here are some screenshots shared by one of her colleagues following the tragic event:

Diaso graduated from Babcock university and was just about to complete her housemanship in the hospital in the next two weeks before this tragic incident occurred yesterday.

However, the resident doctors are currently holding a solidarity walk in the hospital premises in Lagos in honour of the late Dr Vwaere Diaso.

did she died becaus she was stuck? Or because of a malfunction that dropped due to cable issues?
