Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has advised those who care to listen to stop begging for money to sponsor their weddings. He said that weddings are less significant compared to marriages, hence, people shouldn't be desperate enough to beg for money just to organize their wedding.
Instead, they should organize their weddings to fit their financial capability. When God blesses them with more finances, such couples can organize a wedding anniversary to their taste.
In Yul's words, "I see many people begging for money to do big wedding. It doesn't make much sense to me. Do the type of wedding you can afford then face your hustle. Anybody pressuring you for a big wedding that you can't afford doesn't mean well for you. The most important thing is to run your family smoothly, not wedding show off. Do the one you can. When God blesses your hustle, you can spend billions on your wedding anniversary. Don't kill yourself."
