Passengers survive Lagos auto crash, leaves 2 injured.
Some passengers numbering 10 have survived an auto crash which occurred recently in Lagos state. However 2 people have sustained injuries from this accident.
The accident was a multiple accident which happened around Otedola area going to Berger on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. This happened yesterday, Thursday morning.
There were 3 trucks and a bus involved in this accident. The trucks involved were Mac to is and this bus had been loaded with passengers
It was Mr Babatunde Farinloye, who is the Lagos State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who revealed this. He mentioned that emergency workers had responded quickly to this accident
He shared that these 4 vehicles were involved and there were 12 people involved. However 10 survived the accident unharmed while 2 were injured.
He shared that the emergency rescue team consisted of the police unit at Ojota and the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency.
The victims who were injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
He revealed that this accident was caused by a brake failure in one of the Mac trucks.
This had led to a loss of control and then a crash involving these other vehicles.
The cabinet caused a gridlock on the road for a long time and officers are working towards directing traffic. They advised motorist to ply another route for some time.
