Burna boy emerged winner of the 2023 "Best International Artist" BET Award that took place on June 26.

He was previously nominated alongside other artists like Ella Mai (UK), Stormzy (UK), Ayra Starr (Nigeria), L7nnon (Brazil), Central Cee (UK), Aya Nakamura (France), Uncle Waffles (Swaziland), Ko (South Africa), and Tiakola (France).

Burna is representing Nigeria and Africa well. The four times BET Award winner (2019, 2020, 2021, & 2023) is loved at home and abroad, and the creativity infused in his music is paving the way for him.

Although Burna boy wasn't present at the BET Award, Michael Blackson received the award on his behalf and said, "This is for the continent of Africa right now. For Afrobeatsz shout-out to all of you. Burna boy, congratulations, congratulations to Afrobeats, congratulations to my continent."

He ended by telling everyone to take a trip to Africa.

Congratulations are in order for Burna boy as fans couldn't contain their excitement over the singer's achievements.

Some called him the real Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), while others said they can now sleep in peace after their "Odogwu" won a well-deserved award.
