EFCC declares Emefiele's wife and three others wanted for money laundering
The Economic Financial and Crime Commission (EFCC) has declared Godwin Emefiele's wife and three others missing for money laundering. The three others are Eric Odoh, Anita Joy Omoile, and Jonathan Omoile. They have all been declared wanted for alleged money laundering.
This was made known via a notice issued to the public by the EFCC head of media Dele Oyewale. The notice reads, "The public is hereby notified that persons whose photographs appear above are wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly conspiring with a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, to convert huge sums of money belonging to the federal government of Nigeria and committed felony to wit; obtaining money by false pretenses and stealing contrary to and punishable under Sections 411, 287 and 314 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State."
Members of the public have been encouraged to report to the nearest EFCC office once any of those declared wanted are sighted.
