The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) has upheld Tinubu's victory as the winner of the 2023 presidential election and dismissed Labour Party candidate Peter Obi's petition.

Supporters and members of both parties APC, PDP, LP, and other political parties were present at the PEPT judgment which was passed yesterday in Abuja.

The prayers of Peter Obi included Tinubu's alleged drug case in the US, 25% of votes in the FCT, double nomination, and Tinubu's controversial certificate at Chicago university.

After long hours of sitting, Justice Tsammani, who led the other judges, gave the verdict in court declaring Obi's petition as unrealistic and lacking merit.

The petition was dismissed on the grounds that the Labour Party and Obi said there were irregularities at most of the polling units but they weren't listed.

They also dismissed the 25% votes for FCT stating that the Federal Capital is like every other state in the country and it has no special privileges.

The court also said contrary to popular opinion, no law in the constitution makes it mandatory for the electoral body INEC to transmit polling unit results into the IReV.

Furthermore, 10 out of 13 LP witnesses which was brought forward to the court yesterday were rejected by the judges.

As a result, the Labour Party has refused to accept the court's decision. They stated that justice wasn't served and the law has refused to honor the people's choice.

Consequently, the party said the February 25 election is a daylight robbery and they will not relent until the people's will is done and justice prevails.
