Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly scared of approaching Chelsea for the sale of Conor Gallagher due to financial fair play restrictions.

The Blues are demanding about £60 million from any club looking to get the services of Gallagher, and Spurs aren't keen on doing such business in the January transfer window.

This implies that Tottenham Hotspur will reignite their push for Conor Gallagher possibly in the summer, after sorting out the financial issues regarding the deal.

Gallagher has been magnificent in the middle of the park for Chelsea, producing excellent performances consistently.

Conor Gallagher has made 68 appearances for the Blues, scoring 3 goals and providing 5 assists in all competitions.

Gallagher has continued to develop in English football, and he has immense qualities to provide an impact on a game.

He has been shipped out to several clubs on loan to further his development, including; Charlton Athletic, Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion, and Crystal Palace.

Conor Gallagher grew in leaps and bounds at Crystal Palace and it was at Selhurst Park that his growth became evident.

He made 39 appearances for the Eagles, scoring 8 goals and providing 5 assists in all competitions.

Gallagher has since returned to Chelsea ahead of the 2022/23 season, and he has earned a starting shirt at the club.

The arrival of Mauricio Pochettino didn't affect his playing time, as he arguably is one of the first names on the team sheet every matchday.

Conor Gallagher has made 23 appearances this campaign, scoring no goal and providing 4 assists in all competitions.

Gallagher is keen on remaining at Chelsea despite only 18 months left on his deal with the West London club.

The 23-year-old is apparently hoping for a better pay package from the Blues to remain at the club, although he is fully aware that nothing has been tabled so far.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has also in the past been linked to the midfielder, equally aimed at providing bodies in midfield.

He was reportedly said to be a primary target for the Reds during the 2023 summer transfer window, however, that move couldn't see the light of day.

Anyway, Mauricio Pochettino handed him the vice-captain role at Chelsea ahead of the 2023/24 season, due to his leadership qualities and his passionate desire to put in his all for the club.

Internationally, Conor Gallagher has been capped by England about 11 times, scoring no goal and providing 1 assist thus far.

He made his debut for the Three Lions on November 15, 2021, under Gareth Southgate aged 21 years, 9 months, and 9 days.

Chelsea will return to action on Saturday, January 6, 2023, in an FA Cup 3rd Round encounter, and Conor Gallagher is expected to be in action, as he hopes to lead his teammates to victory.
