The Ekiti State government has banned the Guinness World Record attempt for the longest kissing marathon in the state yesterday.
This was announced by the Ekiti State Ministry of Arts and Culture on 3rd July stating any organization that decides to host the event will be severely punished by the government.
Last month, a group of people known as Sugartee announced their attempt to break the GWR for longest kissing marathon for 72 hours.
This was frowned upon by majority because the attempt doesn't portray values and morals as a true Nigerian.
The same was said by the Ministry about the event that the attempt was capable of tarnishing the image of the state.
