Nigerian singer and son of late Afrobeats legend Fela, Seun Kuti, has revealed that he was stigmatized while he was growing up because he was Fela's son.
In a recent interview, Seun Kuti said he was stigmatized so much that he couldn't even enter his girlfriend's house or walk freely on the streets without people pointing fingers at him. He stated that his father did no wrong to society but people hated him but the guilty politicians are portrayed as superheroes in our society.
Feeling hopeful, Seun Kuti mentioned that our nation is still going to be great but it may not be during this generation. He said there are various people in the past who have laid down their lives for the progress of Nigeria. Seun Kuti believes that victory is assured for Nigeria but it cannot be achieved all at once. To him, it is a gradual process that requires combined efforts.
