Ibadan Teacher beaten to death in Lagos state
An teacher from Ibadan has been beaten to death in Lagos state just recently
The police have arrested 3 suspects from this crime while some others are still on the run.
The teacher who was killed has been identified as Idowu Hamzat, who is a 36 year old man.
He was killed on Saturday in Eredo area of Epe, Lagos.
This man had been lured to Lagos by the suspects but the motive behind it isn't known yet.
The 3 suspects who have been arrested have been identified as Agbomeji Nojeem, Kazeem Apena, and Omobowale alongside some others who haven't been caught yet.
They had beaten the deceased to death and then abandoned his body in the bush.
An eyewitness who was a resident of the area had seen all that happened. This person then informed a vigilante group, who called the Police.
They were able to recover a mobile phone and ID Card on the corps and used it to trace the family of the deceased. They called his parent who were shocked and revealed he had never been to Epe before.
The eyewitness revealed that it was 10 men who had attacked the teacher. They had beaten him to death.
No one knows what he did to have deserved such.
Mr Benjamin Hundeyin who is the Spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, has confirmed the incident and the arrest of the 3 suspects.
He said the suspects have been moved to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SC IID, in Yaba for further investigation.
