Messi has not made an official statements yet but recent updates have it that the Argentine has agreed a massive deal to move to Saudi Arabia.

Recall we reported that Messi shared a video last week Friday to say sorry to all his PSG teammates for traveling to Saudi Arabia without permission. We have also reported that Messi is back to training with the squad after he was sanctioned for his unauthorized trip.

Speculations had it that Al Hilal agreed a deal with the Argentine but there’s nothing official yet about the deal.

Lionel Messi has confirmed that he is focused on winning the Ligue 1 title, and afterwards, he would access his options at the end of the season.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano said earlier on Tuesday that the Argentine has not made any decision yet in his latest Transfer Update on Lionel Messi.

He noted that: “Lionel Messi has not made any decision yet on his next club despite reports while he’s back to training ”

“After initial two weeks suspension, his video shared on Friday to say sorry to all his PSG teammates has changed plans as he’s now training with the squad.”

“There’s nothing agreed or done with Al Hilal as of now despite rumours: Messi wants to win the Ligue1 title and then he will assess his options at the end of the season — no decision now.”

“Al Hilal official proposal revealed here in April is still valid on the table: €400m salary per season bid, the biggest salary ever in football.”

Lionel Messi is expected to land in the oil-rich kingdom and join the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, but the world is waiting for Messi or the club to make an official announcement on the purported deal.

Al Hilal are not the only club that wants Lionel Messi – his former employers Barcelona – are keen on bringing back the Argentine.

Barcelona can only make the Messi comeback work if they reduce salaries, sell some players and register some player’s new contracts like Gavi, Ronald Araújo and Alonso.

That is looking like a herculean task for Barcelona in their bid to have their greatest player back from French side PSG.

Lionel Messi Transfer Update: A Possible Upset

Lionel Messi’s family may stand as a stumbling block to a possible move to Saudi Arabia amid interest from Al Hilal.

Messi’s wife Antonella Roccuzzo is hesitant to relocate to the middle east despite the mouth-watering offer her husband will get.

Messi on the other hand is seriously considering a transfer move to Saudi Arabia after the huge offer after his contract expires in the Summer.

But the World Cup winner is stalling the move because he prefers to stay in Europe as reported by French Paper L’Equipe.

Messi’s partner Antonela is also not interested in relocating to Saudi Arabia with their three young sons.

This however might give an edge to Barcelona as they are looking to have the World Cup winner back in their squad.

There is growing optimism in Barcelona that a possible return for Lionel Messi is possible.

After reports emerged on Monday that Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal have made an offer for Messi, it was also revealed later that night that La Liga have reportedly given Barcelona the green light to pursue Lionel Messi’s transfer.

La Liga will allow Barca to register Messi should they sign him but they must sell players and cut down on salaries.
