Manchester City and Manchester United are the only two Premier League clubs to have ever won treble in the history of the league.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City defeated Inter Milan in the Champions League final to complete the treble.

The Blues of Manchester defeated Manchester United in the FA Cup final, with Ilkay Gundogan scoring from outside the box twice to win the double.

The Manchester City side also beat Arsenal to the Premier League title. The North London team lost momentum and dropped a lot of points towards the end of the season

However, Manchester United remain the first Premier League team to achieve the feat in the 1998–99 season. They defeated Bayern Munich in the Champions League final with two late goals in the second half.

Also, United defeated Newcastle in the FA Cup final by 2-0 and won the Premier League that same season.

However, there is a probability that Pep Guardiola may end up creating another record for Manchester City if he wins the sextuple for the team.

Manchester City will play in the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla on August 16, 2023, the FIFA Club World Cup, and the Community Shield against Arsenal on August 6, 2023.

If he delivers these three trophies, he may be regarded as the greatest manager of all time.
