Late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad's father, Mr Joseph Aloba has revealed that his wife Omowunmi added sleeping pills to his food when he was alive.
The deceased father gave his testimony during the coroner's inquest yesterday October 25, 2023 at Ikorodu Magistrate Court in Lagos in the presence of other family members including the singer's mother, wife and son.
Mohbad's father revealed that he and his son Mohbad lived together for 18 years before he got signed into Marlians Record as an artist. For that time frame, his son has never fallen sick. He revealed that his son had been living with his former label boss Naira Marley since December 2019.
He left home with his approval to stay with Naira Marley to pursue his dream. He also mentioned that he never had the house address where his son lived when he was with Naira Marley.
He said he still met with his son three days to his sudden death stating that his son assured him that he will settle the feud between him and his former boss Naira Marley.
According to him, he said Mohbad's wife Omowunmi controlled the affairs of his son Ilerioluwa. He disclosed that his son's wife added sleeping pills into his food when they were both living with Naira Marley.
Mr Aloba said his wife used to sleep with another signee at Marlians Record. He also claimed his son's landed property and other assets in cash were in the custody of his wife Omowunmi and his mother in-law.
He also clarified that he never knew his son's neck was bent inside the coffin. It was not until it went viral that he saw the video online.
