The Nigerian equities market printed positive as investors take positions in blue chip stocks

The All Share Index indicated a 0.50% appreciation to close at 25,783.02 basis points. Its YTD returns stood at -3.92%.

Market capitalization grew by 0.50% influencing a current market cap. of N13.474 trillion. An overall volume of 414 million share units worth N6.28 billion were traded in 3,793 deals. MTNN (+0.73%) was a gainer with current share price at N123 it had the highest value of share exchanged (N3.12 billion).

Market breath grew as 20 gainers led by SEPLAT was recorded as against 13 losers topped by ETERNA.

NSE Oil & Gas Index grew by 2.02% as SEPLAT (+3.90%) gained. NSE Consumer Goods Index rose by 1.35% as INTBREW (+9.09%) and NB (+3.57%) gained. NSE Insurance Index was up 1.09% as PRESTIGE (+9.09) , CORNERST (+8.33%) and LASACO (+3.85%) gained. NSE Banking Index up by 0.65%.

. FCMB (+1.94%) , ZENITHBANK (+1.80%) and FIDELITYBK (+1.69%) recorded gains influencing the 0.65% appreciation indicated by NSE Banking Index.


. NSE Industrial Index recorded growth by 0.09% as WAPCO gained +1.54%.
