Nigerian singer and songwriter Crown Uzama popularly known as Shallipopi has revealed that his music genre is called Afro-talk.
Shallipopi who is mostly known for his odd lyrics, has stated in a recent interview that his songs don't require a lot of creative process because he does more of talking than singing in his music.
Shallipopi said his genre Afro-talk is simply speaking to the microphone instead of singing to it. He further stated that he still qualifies as an Afrobeats artist because, at the end of the day, he cannot run away from the genre. Speaking of awards, Shallipopi said he doesn't fancy getting a Grammy award. If it comes, he's fine with it but he makes music because that's what he had always wanted to do.
