New leaders have been elected by The Nigerian Anthropological and Sociological-Practitioners Association (NASA)
This association was inaugurated in UI in 1972.
The Nigerian Anthropological and Sociological Practitioners Association (NASA) is a non-governmental organisation. They were established to regulate teaching and practice of these courses in Nigeria.
They elected these new leaders or executives so as to drive the agenda of the association.
This election was held in Abuja and this was during the association’s 27th annual conference. It was held at Baze University in Abuja.
They elected Hauwa’u Yusuf as the new President of the association. This man is a professor at Kaduna State University.
They also elected 6 Vice presidents. These 6 people represent each of the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
During the opening ceremony of this conference, they also inducted 17 people as fellows of the association
