Nigerians lament as price of Augmentin drug skyrockets
Many Nigerians have begun to lament over the hike in the price of Augmentin drugs in Nigeria. A citizen recently took to twitter to lament over the cost of purchasing this particular drug in the pharmacy. The price of Augmentin has tripled over the years. It's of no surprise to Nigerians how expensive things have become in recent times. Medicines and tablets have become so expensive and it is taking a toll on Nigerians.
It's now increasingly difficult for Nigerians to purchase drugs to cure their illness with the amount that these drugs are being sold. Augmentin is now sold for thousands of Naira. Apart from the increase in price, some drugs have also become very scarce across many pharmacies in Nigeria. Many Nigerians are unable to access the medicines due to the scarcity of these drugs or the prices.
A citizen even claimed that Augmentin was now being sold for N57,000 Naira as opposed to the N7000 it was being sold before; however, this hasn't been confirmed yet.
