Oba Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife presents beaded crown to Oba Sharafadeen Babalola of Kwara

The Ooni of Ife who is Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has presented a crown to the Onijagbo of Ijagbo who is Oba Sharafadeen Babalola. He is the Onijagbo of Ijagbo in Oyun Local Government Area in Kwara State.

Recall the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq had also presented a staff of office to the new monarch on the 17th of June, 2023. The governor had been the one who approved of the monarch. They present a staff during his inauguration last month.
A ceremony was held over the weekend on Saturday in Oyun Baptist High School, in Ijagbo.
The Ooni was present at this ceremony and he spoke as well as presented the crown to Oba Babalola. He revealed while speaking that this beaded crown which he presented was from Ile Ife. The crown is from the Geisi Ruling House, in Ile-Ife.
He prayed that this crown will bring peace, harmony and tranquility to the town of Ijagbo.
He says the residents of this town have already begun to enjoy the crown as it has been bringing Good things to the people of this town.
The Ooni of Ife went ahead to plead with the residents of Ijagbo to be united. He urged them to support the new Oba in the town so that they can progress.
He also prayed again for the new monarch, Oba Babalola. He prayed that he would enjoy good health, long life. He also prayed that the monarch will have a peaceful reign like those before him.
The new monarch also expressed appreciation to the Ooni for the crown bestowed on him.
He thanked him for presenting this crown personally to him.
Many other officials were present at this even including the Deputy Governor of Kwara State who is Mr Kayode Alabi, the Olupo of Ajase who is Oba Sharafadeen Atotoloye was also in tendency as well as the Onira of Ira who is Oba Oyewale Oyetoro and others.
