Ayodele Olawande, The Minister of State for Youth Development has revealed that the federal government is relentlessly working to limit the Japa rate in the country by providing an enabling environment for citizens across all fields.

He added that an enabling environment would discourage the youths from traveling abroad to seek a greener pasture as long as they can maximize their potential in their home country. Also, a working environment would entice those who have traveled abroad to return to Nigeria.

Still speaking on the Nigerian economy, Olawande added, “President Bola Tiunbu is working to ensure an enabling environment so that people that Japa will come back and live a normal life. Japa syndrome is good only when people invest in something and then come back to the country to develop and create employment.”

Additionally, people who are bent on traveling would do so with the intention of returning to Nigeria to impact lives with the knowledge they have acquired abroad.
