Five West African nations including the hosts appear to already be feeling the mood of the magnificent tournament.

Senegal

Supporters of Senegal look to be aiming to defend their crown, which they won in 2021, and they are amongst the nations to have purchased the most tickets.

They have been a ground for the production of excellent names on the continent, including; Sadio Mane, El Hadji Diouf, and Kalidou Koulibaly.

Cote D'Ivoire

The Ivorians are also not taking a backseat, as they want to be fully involved with the prestigious tournament.

The majority of the tickets have been sold to Cote d'Ivoire, and that is understandable, given the fact that they are hosting the alluring continental showpiece.

Ivory Coast are two-time winners of the Africa Cup of Nations, winning it in 2015, and 1992.

The nation has produced a massive list of stars in the last 5 decades, including; Didier Drogba, Yaya Toure, and Ibrahima Bakayoko to name a few.

Nigeria

The nation that prides itself as the “Giant of Africa”, with its national team being called the Super Eagles of Nigeria also makes it to the top 5.

They are one of the most successful nations on the continent, with a truckload of trophies; including bronze medals, and a plethora of valuable trophies globally and continentally.

Nigeria parade a magnificent pool of players, with star names like; Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Alex Iwobi to name a few representing the country.

In the past century, the West African nation has also been a goldmine for top footballing talents and exports, who went on to achieve great heights across the world.

Austin Jay Jay Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo, John Obi Mikel, Taribo West, and Vincent Enyeama amongst others are notable players that represented the country.

Meanwhile, it is worth noting that 4 out of the 5 nations drawn in Group A have purchased the most tickets for the tournament.

Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau, and Equatorial Guinea are all in the same group, and this certainly tells us about the support they likely will receive at the tournament.

Group A should provide intense battles, and fascinating matches, coupled with an electric footballing atmosphere - spearheaded by the fans.

Equatorial Guinea

Equatorial Guinea as aforementioned earlier are also part of the countries to have bought the most tickets thus far.

The Central African country are yet to win any significant trophy globally or on the African continent.

Guinea-Bissau

Meanwhile, Guinea-Bissau almost makes it to the top 5, and they will be involved in the opening game of the tournament, facing Côte D'Ivoire.

Guinea-Bissau are yet to win the Africa Cup of Nations, but they will be hoping that they can ruffle feathers in the 34th edition of the continental showpiece.
