Ange Postecoglou led Tottenham Hotspur to a comfortable victory over Everton at their 1 billion pound ground.

They took the initiative early on in the 9th minute, with Richarlison scoring from close range following a low cross towards the near post from Brennan Johnson.

In the 16th minute, Dominic Calvert-Lewin could have put Everton back into the game, but his thumping header at goal was parried wide by Guglielmo Vicario.

Two minutes following the attempt by Calvert-Lewin, Heung-Min Son doubled the advantage of Spurs, after Johnson fired a shot toward goal, following a one-two with Dejan Kulusevski.

Brennan Johnson's effort was punched away by Jordan Pickford, but only as far as Son, who instantly fired the ball into the far bottom corner.

In the 23rd minute, Idrissa Gana Gueye was shown a yellow card for a foul on Richarlison.

Gana Gueye was afterward substituted for Andre Gomes in the 24th minute after he sustained a knee injury.

Two minutes later, Amadou Onana also got booked for a foul on Emerson Royal of Tottenham Hotspur.

Sean Dyche's side went into the break trailing by 2 goals, with Spurs supporters delighted by their showing in the first 45.

Ange Postecoglou introduced Eric Dier for Cristian Romero just after the restart of action in the second 45.

Spurs thought they had halved the deficit 6 minutes into the second half, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin hitting a shot low into the bottom corner.

However, a review was done by VAR and the goal was ultimately chalked off, with Andre Gomes deemed to have fouled Emerson Royal in the build-up to the goal.

In the 63rd minute, Pierre Emile Hojbjerg was introduced for Richarlison, while 3 minutes later Sean Dyche also sent on Arnaut Danjuma for Jack Harrison.

Seventeen minutes before the expiration of regulation time, Giovani Lo Celso came on to replace Pape Sarr.

In the 75th minute, Andre Gomes was also booked for dissent, after he reacted angrily to a free-kick that went the way of Spurs.

Everton continued to create chances in the second 45, intending to come back into the encounter.

In the 79th minute, Beto came on for Amadou Onana, and that definitely meant that it was a full-swing attacking move from Sean Dyche.

Eight minutes before the end of the game, Andre Gomes finally got the ball into the back of the net for the Toffees, and they were thrilled to find the equalizer.

However, Spurs managed to secure all 3 points and they remain 4th on the Premier League table.

Nathan Patterson picked up a yellow card in the 83rd minute, while in the 86th minute, Dejan Kulusevski was the only player to get his name taken down into the referee's book for time-wasting.

Following 90 minutes and additional time, Tottenham Hotspur secured all 3 points, signaling that they picked up back-to-back home wins in the Premier League.
