Taraba State University is a State owned University located in Jalingo, Taraba State. Taraba is a state in Nigeria which is located in the north east. Taraba State University is also known as TSU. The institution was established by the Taraba State Government in the year 2008.
The University was established to create more access to University education for the people of Taraba State as well as promote economic growth and development in Taraba and Nigeria.
The University offers series of courses from Undergraduate programs to Post graduate programs and even Distance learning programs in Social science, arts, agriculture, education, communication and media, sciences, engineering etc. They also engage in Teaching processes, research processes and community service
The current Vice Chancellor of the University is Prof. Sunday Paul Bako. He became the Vice Chancellor on the 1st of March, 2022.

Candidates are to pay a asum of N2,000 as their application and screening fee. The TSU post UTME cut-off mark is 140. Those Eligible to apply are those who scored 140 and above in UTME amd those who chose TSU as their first choice.
The Candidates are also to upload certain documents including Birth Certificate, Letter of indigene, First school leaving certificate, JAMB score sheet, WAEC/NECO/NABTEB and any relevant result.
