UI Lecturer who allegedly Shared 100 dollars to students debunks rumors.

News sources states that a UI Lecturer shared 100 Dollars to each of the students that attended his class (being the first lecture after Asuu strike was called off)

Recall that ASUU strike was called off recently and different universities in Nigeria have stated their resumption dates. The university of ibadan resumed activities on the 24th of October.

University of Ibadan resumed this week and one of the lecturers in the university allegedly gave out cash as a reward to the students who came to class as it is common for students not to show up immediately after resumption.

Dr Bisi, the lecturer mentioned above, gave out 100 dollars to each student.
This act spread like news as some of the students posted this on social media. There have been several reactions to this news from various Nigerians, students and non-students. Some of the students who weren't present regretted not attending classes while those who did shared their excitement.

However, the lecturer whose name is Dr Bisi has come out to deny any such rumors.
He asked everyone to ignore the rumors as they were false. He claims not to have given any students any money.

Dr Bisis wrote in a tweet saying

“My attention has been drawn to a tweet circulating that I gave $100 each to 10 students. This is not in any way true. Please kindly disregard. Thank you.”

So some people are really believing this story lol, well, any lecture that shares 1000 dollars to Nigerian students probably made that money from the students or will make the money back from them. Uni life in Nigeria is hard.
