In a viral footage shared by ©OneJoblessBoy on X, Osimhen worshipped at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Parish in Lagos, joining thousands of locals to pray for the new year.

The CAF Footballer of the Year left church members star-struck as he took to the podium after being called by the Pastor.

He gave the Pastor a warm hug on reaching the podium and was handed the microphone for a word with the congregation.

The Scudetto winner was able to attend the Crossover Service - a regular end-of-year church service organized by various Christian denominations - since he was on break from Napoli for the festive period and 2023 AFCON.

Osimhen is known for his friendly and hearty relations with his locals each time he storms the city of Lagos, his hometown, during breaks.

After a Serie A winning campaign with Napoli last season, Victor Osimhen traveled home to Lagos to spend time with close relations and friends. On the occasion of this festive break, the former Lille forward did not depart from the routine as he meets up with friends and locals, including attending the Crossover Service.

After his break, Osimhen will be expected to join the Super Eagles camp as preparations for 2023 AFCON begins in earnest.

The 24-year-old is among top players to watch out for in the continental showpiece after his scintillating performance for Napoli last season.

He will lead the Super Eagles attack in Ivory Coast as the African giants aim to end their 10-years wait for AFCON title and clinch their fourth crown.

Nigeria will kick off their AFCON campaign against Equatorial Guinea on January 14, 2024 before taking on Ivory Coast and Guinea-Bissau in their final group game.

After helping Napoli end their 33 years Scudetto deadlock, Victor Osimhen will be hoping to add the coveted national team trophy in African to his kit.
