These arrests were made in different parts of Nigeria.

Mr Patrick Areghan, who is the Head of the National Office (HNO) revealed this during a monitoring exercise he had carried out in Lagos in some schools.

He says that they can no longer tolerate these issues bordering on exam malpractice. He says it is taking a dangerous dimension that needs to be handled immediately.

He says they have been making use of their technology which is designed to catch examination malpractices since the exams begin and so far they are happy with what they have been able to achieve.

He revealed how they made 3 arrests in Ibadan, Oyo zone. He says they arrested the supervisor at that center, the school principal and invigilator in that particular school.

These popple had allegedly taken pictures of the questions and shared them to some platforms before the exams.

He revealed they had also caught a supervisor and principal in Maiduguri and they have been handed over to the police.

Some other arrests took place in Umuahia, Abeokuta, Osogbo, Kaduna etc.

Mr Areghan also said They would continue these arrests till the exams are over.

He then advised candidates to watch out so that they don't compromise their future by allowing such people who claim to assist through illegal means to put them in trouble.

He went ahead to emphasize that WAEC’s examinations could never be accessed illegally.

He says the questions are safe until they get to the hall.
