Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi has congratulated Sen. Bola Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State, on his election as the APC's presidential candidate for 2023. (APC).

In a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja by Dr. Yemi Kolapo, Director, Media and Publicity for the Yahaya Bello Campaign Organisation,

Bello, who ran in the election, described it as peaceful and said he accepted the results of the primary.

He promised to provide the necessary support to achieve the flag-and-bearer's, the ruling party's, victory in the presidential election of 2023.

Tinubu was elected as the APC's presidential candidate after receiving 1,271 votes in the ruling party's primary election held at Eagle Square in Abuja on Tuesday. (NAN)
