Nigerian singer Seun Kuti has said that internet fraudsters aren't the major problem in Nigeria.

In a recent video, Seun Kuti stated that the country will remain the same if all the Yahoo boys in Nigeria are arrested today. Seun Kuti said Nigeria had been in a bad state before the rise of internet fraudsters. He stressed that Nigeria is the reason why internet fraudsters are rampant.

Seun Kuti said most Nigerians in the diaspora who complain that Yahoo boys are tarnishing the country's image relocated through illegal means. He concluded that every Nigerian has been involved in shady business in one way or the other.

Seun Kuti's assertion that "Yahoo boys are not Nigeria's problem" challenges prevailing perceptions. He likely argues that focusing solely on internet fraudsters obscures deeper issues like corruption, poverty, and failed governance. Kuti's stance invites scrutiny of societal priorities and systemic injustices. While condemning cybercrime, he urges addressing root causes to foster genuine progress. His perspective prompts critical reflection on addressing Nigeria's multifaceted challenges holistically.
