You are not real, Bella Shmurda shuns Afrobeats musicians placing importance on foreign awards
Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has a message for all the Afrobeats artists who place more importance on winning foreign awards instead of the indigenous ones. He believes that indigenous awards should be glorified far better than the ones given to our artists in foreign lands because this was where Afrobeats started. Bella Shmurda claims they those Afrobeats artists who are usually more excited to win the foreign awards are not real.
He said the major thing that annoys him is the shout-outs given after winning foreign awards. "We call ourselves black. Last last we take this award and we say shout out to my African people. You are not shouting out to us. Keep your shout-out. We have our awards here. Why are you not here? You are not real. Leave the shout-out. It's for yourself."
