You stole from Fela's songs to become who you are, Eedris Abdulkareem says to Burna Boy

Nigerians are beginning to dig out Eedris Abdulkareem's clips of where he rubbished Burna Boy's talent. In this particular clip, Eedris said that Burna Boy wouldn't have gotten to where he is today if not that he was a master in stealing Fela's songs. He said that Burnaboy literally infused Fela's songs with his songs, which captivated the minds and souls of music enthusiasts. Therefore, Burnaboy has committed intellectual theft and he needs to apologize for stealing other people's creativity.

Eedris added that Fela's songs told wonderful stories and contained powerful messages that have impacted lives whereas Burnaboy's songs do not contain any message.

Quoting verbatim, "Burnaboy needs to apologize. At least Fela made it happen for you. You stole from a lot of Fela's songs to become who you are and you stole from Afrobeats to become who you are. Even though Fela's songs are strictly about messages that add value to the lives of people. What is your song all about?"
