Many retail investors are busy chasing fast-rising stocks, but smart investors are quietly accumulating United Capital Plc (UCAP) because of its strong dividend history and consistent profit growth.
UCAP has built a reputation as a reliable dividend-paying company, and with increasing participation in Nigeria’s capital market, the company may continue to grow.
The question is:
Are investors buying UCAP for dividend income or for capital appreciation?

Do you think UCAP is a dividend stock only, or a growth stock too?

Good question.
United Capital Plc is mainly a dividend stock, that’s why most people buy it.
But it’s not just dividends, the company is still growing, so there’s also some price upside.
So I’d say it’s both, but more on the dividend side.

Definitely for dividend! Even though the dividend is meager

Ucap is a growth stock that happens to distribute a portion of its profits to shareholders.

Many investors are buying for growth, Dividend is just a side benefit to it.
