10 year old Boy kills friend with his Grandfather's gun
A 10 year old boy killed his friend with his Grandfather's gun In Bayelsa recently.
We learnt this happened accidentally. This boy shot his 12 year old friend using the gun owned by his Grandfather.
This incident hapeornf in a Town in Southern Ijaw local government in Bayelsa state.
The father of the boy who was killed was out of town when the incident happened.
The grandfather of the 10 year old who committed the act was also out of town when it happened.
The victim had returned from the Bush where he went to pick mango alongside his sister and friend.
The sister had sent her brother (the 12 year old victim) to get a cutlass so they could open the bush mango.
The friend of the victim who committed the act followed him to get the cutlass and then while searching, they stumbled on the gun which was hidden.
When the 10 year old saw the gun, he picked it and aimed it at his friend who shouted at him to drop it. As he shouted, the gun was fired and the bullet hit him.
They rushed the victim to the hospital as he was seriously injured. The friend who fired the gun followed him as they rushed the injured friend to the hospital.
Asinim Butswat who is the spokesman of the Bayelsa state police command revealed that they had not reported the case to the police yet as at then.
