20 suspected internet fraudsters arrested by EFCC in Ilorin.


20 suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested by operatives of of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) in Ilorin, kwara state.

These men were arrested for Internet fraud and some cyber crimes.

This is the second incident of EFCC arresting a large number of suspects who are fraudsters in Ilorin within a month.

Recall that last month, on the 4th of May, 2023, the commission arrested 62 suspected Internet fraudsters. Among these 62 people was a convict who had already been convicted of a similar crime.

Wilson Uwujaren who is the spokesman of the commission revealed this in a statement yesterday.

He had mentioned that the arrest was made after they got intelligence about the crimes

They arrested them at Egbejila, around Airport Road and Offa Garage area, in the state.

These men include Abdullahi Isiak, Kolawole Temidayo, Habeeb Abubakar, Emmanuel Oborirhwoho, Martinson Adegboyega, Abiola Abiodun, Mayowa Victor, Orji Roland, Atitebi Samuel, Oluwafemi Ola, John Adamson, Orimadegun Ishola, Adeyeye Usman.l, Umar Abdulkareem, Okunlola Ayomide, Tijani Quadri, Ukueni Great, Adebisi Teslim, Adebisi Kazeem and Quadri Lekan.

The EFCC was also able to recover sime items from them including phones, cars and laptops.

He revealed that after investigation has been completed, these men will be arraigned in court.
