200lvl Unibadan law student allegedly sexually assaults female student
A 200lvl student of the University of Ibadan has been accused of sexual assault. This student has been identified as Faith Adegoke. He is a 200-level student of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ibadan. He allegedly sexually assaulted a female student who had gone for overnight reading for her exams. The incident happened overnight between Sunday and this morning. This incident happened on the school campus.
The victim is a 100-level student of the University of Ibadan. Her name has been withheld from the public for safety purposes. All that is known is that the girl is a 17 year old in 100 level. This young lady had gone out with her friends for overnight reading. While reading for exams, the lights went out in the lecture theater she was reading in. She then decided to go and take a nap at the student union building on campus. It was here the assault happened.
The perpetrator of the crime, Faith also happens to be the public relations officer of the faculty of Law. He sexually assaulted the girl who had gone to take a nap at the student union building. The victim claimed she woke up at a touch and the suspect held her down by her neck when she attempted to scream. She was eventually able to come for help and her friends came to her aid. She sustained neck injuries from where he held her down. she also had injuries on her lips due to a bite.
The University of Ibadan Public Relations Officer, Dr. Joke Akinpelu has confirmed the news. She revealed that investigations have commenced on the matter. The suspect has also been banned from the student union building. It was the president of the Students Union of the School, who released a statement that they have barred the suspect from the Students union building indefinitely. further details will be released soon.
