A 24 year old man has been arrested for allegedly strangling his 15-year-old girlfriend to death in the United States recently. This 15-year-old girl was found strangled to death in a home in South Shore area. This man has now been charged with strangling a teenage girl to death. The man has been identified asJoshua Williams and he is 24 years old. He has been charged with first-degree murder. The 15-year-old girl who was killed has been identified as Amarise Parker. The police revealed that she was found dead in a South Shore apartment last week. The police revealed on Tuesday that Joshua was arrested on Saturday, December 16, 2023 by the police.
The court proceedings has been held and it was revealed the incident occured on the 12th of December 2023. The teenager's mother who is Yahanna Clark revealed that her daughter had called her days before she was found dead. She called her mother to pick her up at her boyfriend's South Shore apartment. She revealed that her boyfriend had refused to allow her leave. Her mother them came came pick her up but few days later, Amarise returned to her boyfriend Joshua Williams' home. This was on the 11th of December 2023.
The court documents that were obtained revealed that the neighbors reported that they ward the couple arguing the night she died. The following day, Joshua then called one of his cousins and his friend, saying the girl wasn't waking up. They then called 911 and they discovered that she was dead. Te paramedics revealed that Amarise Parker dead from asphyxiation and strangulation. Eventually, a necklace wqs found lodged in her throat, while her body had some cuts and scratches. They also revealed that her windpipe was crushed.
With the evidence gotten and the record Joshua already had from being charged with strangling another person in Colorado, he was then ordered to remain in custody until his next court date which is on the 10th of January 2023. Once this case has been cleared, he will also be extradited to Colorado to face other charges.
