Popular TV host and vlogger Toke Makinwa says 40 is the new 20 as she mocks the younger generation of women and their lifestyle.
While on Iyabo Ojo's podcast, the 38-year old commented on how 20 year olds shame older women for their age when they themselves pray for longevity and the grace to enjoy life.
She said the so-called young people even look older than their age. Even, they look older than the women they are shaming. She said the 40 year olds are now giving the 20 year olds a run for their money.
"40 is the new 20. I'm going to drag these young people back because some of y'all be looking really old. Lately, the 40 year olds are giving the 20 year olds a run for their money.", she said.
Toke Makinwa expressed that she has seen some young people around the age of 26 who look way older than their age and she has always wondered what they're doing with their bodies. She stated that when she was young, she found joy in making simple African hairstyles but all young women do now is install wigs.
She said, "Is it the heavy makeup? The wigs? I had fun doing the Sade Adu. I loved the Yaki era because we didn't have human hair that was so heavy that would age you so much."
She further added that some 24 or 25 year olds are looking like 35 but they have the audacity to shame 40 year old for her age. Toke said the young ladies need to ask the older generation what they're doing that is making them age with grace. by the day.
She added, "If you look this old at 24, I can't imagine what your @ss would look like when you're 35. I might not read you online but I'll read you on Iyabo's podcast because she believes in violence and I just gave out some."
